Vancouver in all it's GLORY

Today was a timely reminder of why I live in Vancouver. The was out so me and the poetess went down to the beach for a walk. It was so beautiful down there, I wish I had brought my camara to show you.

This is a tough time for me and my family. My father is in the final stages of leukemia, and so I am in constant contact with my sisters who are there in Camrose, as well as several of his grand children. I had a great visit last month with my mom and dad, and so there is little for me to do but wait. My daughter and g-friend will head out to Camrose when the time comes. This is the way it goes, and my father's 77 years have made a big impact in literally hundreds of lives. As a principal of a large high school for over thirty years, he was recognized all over the world, and I have met many, many people who he helped in such a way that their gratitude extended to me. I have been blessed by his role in my life, and believe I am a good father because of his example. This is the beginning of a new leg on the journey, and I am not sure I am ready for it. I am fortunate to have many great friends, and a strong and close family. I appreciate the kind wishes many have already extended to me, and I will do my best to live up to the high standards of integrity that my father set before me.

Website cracks 5000

The website is proving to be a success. With over 5000 clicks now, and some online CD sales, this medium is finally showing results. I am back in Vancouver, meeting with some film producers to push forward some new projects. I will get out to see my daughter in Maple Ridge tomorrow. Yipee!

The end of the road

After 4 and a half weeks and twenty shows - I fly home in a couple of hours. All the guys I worked with this tour were great. The guy I did the most shows with was Ben Miner. His hair describes how I feel right now. (Scroll back for photos of him hurling in a ditch. Or you can find him on MySpace.com if yer a "hot chick".) We had a good run, incident free, and both ending on the same day - last night in Red Deer was both our last shows. He's flying to TO at six, and me - 6:40 to Vancouver. Closing Ceremonies on the tube seem fitting.

saturday in the chuk

hanging out on whyte avenue then in the Green room with Andrew Grose, Tim Rabnett, and a friend/stalker from vancouver. I was impressed when Andrew said he wouldn't sell his Cd's that night because I was selling mine, which I thought was cool! Andrew did a great job, (as usual) that night and I sold a TON!!

Tim Rabnett and Joe Bird

Tim Rabnett, (who I was working with the Edmonton Yuks last week)and I went out one afternoon to my buddy Joe Bird's band jam. Couple of cools girls were sing. I'll remember there names and post them once I get home.

Cool Picture From Edmonton

This is a photo I took from my hotel room in edmonton. The image in the background is the building across the street. The guitar player was on the television and is reflected in the window.

last day of the tour. going home today

Thursday Night was my best show. There was a gang of married woman, a group called SPLURGE. My pals Nathan and Kenton showed up, and I hung out with comics Markus Bouvier and Dan Rock at the Calgary's infamous comic's table. Dan is American, and was laughing pretty hard that we were shut out by Switzerland. Like a lot of American comics, he was trying to convince us we should work in the States. "Then why are you here?" Fun night for me, and I sold a bunch of CD's to boot.

The Trailer Park Boys

Last weekend of the tour I hosted The Trailer Park Boys show. The shows were literally a riot!!
