my career is in shambles

well, i booked on of the three auditions I had the other week. the movie is called "Family in Hiding". I origianlly read for a guy in a restaurant who was mad because he didn't get onion rings with his cheeseburger. I of course NAILED IT, and got the part. Then they changed my role, so now I'm playing an FBI agent. i shoot it on June 6. (6/6/06 - scary...)

yesterday, toby called me at 5pm to do the "Crash and Burn" show at 8:30. So I had a couple hours to come up with a new five minutes. i surprised myself by not only being able to do it, but killing, and closing the show. my favourite new joke was called "Squirrels Gone Wild" and i added to my Richard Lett Shitlist of commercials including the beer commercial where they white guys get their beer stolen by a black guy.

i sold a CD after the show, and had a drink with chris, the bartender at the Century Plaza. It was his second last night there, as he was leaving. The hotel is under renovations and so the bar has two tables, so he can't make any money. Now the mike has left the club, things seem a little uh, transitional right now.

then i went to the urban well. in a turn of events i was not expecting, sean proudlove announced that he is now sole proprieter of the show and i am now again welcome to perform there. it had been about six years since my beef with tweedle dee and dum, and so it has been since then that i haven't gone up there. no loss really, until recently, when the format changed into longer sets, and the stage moved to a better spot away from the women's washroom, and so things have improved, and its starting to look like a fun place to perform. so i'm back...

i need some more auditions, since i booked one, i wanna build some momentum...
