Hanging at the Media Club

Csilla "Trouble", the tyrannical Brena and Dylan hanging outside the Media Club. Dylan had an article about the Poco Loco that he found. It was from 1993. The Rymster and I spent most of the night talking old days. Love that club!

The West Rules

New Website Coming!

Working on the new updated website, which will be up in the next week or so. I working with my geek, Paul "two-tone" Frank. Everybody needs a geek, or you can figure it out yourself, but then you'll be a geek.

Meanwhile, I've been dragged into the comedycouch again. I quit posting on it because anything I said was dismissed because I am some kind of monster, (not to be mistaken for the Metallica documentary). So then the message forum dried up. So one of the moderators found a contentious bit on my myspace blog, reposted it on the forum, trying to get people to guess who wrote it. Yeah right. This gave the haters a reason to slag me. No one that matters. It did lead to an interesting discussion about the history of Vancouver, and some fallen heroes from the past. But soon enough it got back to me (yawn). One little "migraine inducing screamer" from the East complains that I'm not really that controversial, and I'm just promoting this. Is the irony lost on you, because it isn't lost on me. If I'm not controversial... a forget it. Meanwhile, it turns out that "Charlie Bucket" is not something the Viet Cong carried their lunch in, but a alias for one of the "right on" comics in town. "War is bad!" "Right on!" "Women should vote!" "Right on!" It's just preaching to the choir, nothing more. Any way, Mr. Bucket is apparently an experienced writer -although this skill seems sadly lacking in his posts about me.

Oh Well.
The point is I did 8 shows last weekend, and I'm headed to Kelowna on the 20th, for three.Even in the summer I'm logging a lot of shows. And my new stuff - everyone always has to say they like the new stuff. You've been writing! They seem surprised. thats what i do - I write and perform jokes. And I always make them laugh. I'm not one of these guys that has some sort of pride in losing the audience. I wanna get 'em. Anywhere, anytime. I don't care if it's lesbian librarians or the KKK. I wanna get 'em. And I love stand-up, and everything I think it STANDS for. There is no fence to sit on. My style of stand-up requires strong opinions, I have them or I make them up. Turn them into jokes, make da people laugh. Thats it. Thats me.

Bike mechanics review

Caught the show last night. Loved it. Really pro. I was with the group of drunk
bike mechanics. We fix bikes and listen to comedy all day. George Carlin, Rodney
Dangerfield, Rciky Gervais comedy classics like "Safemen", "Caddyshack" and
"Pootie Tang". Most on shitty old cassette tapes, taped from VHS (or BETA).
Well, looking forward to programming the shop with your comedy.

Thanks for a great show.
