Destination Location

Tonight, I am finally alone again. My family and friends have been coming to visit in waves. First my sister Patricia, with my daughter Breanna. Then she left, and my other sister Sherry showed up with her family, and so Breanna came out for three days to hang with them. My sister left, and then my childhood friend Nathan showed up with his wife and two kids. They left this aft, then I drove Bree home to Maple Ridge. So now I have a couple of days to finish up the final touches on the new website, before I switch it over on friday before my shows at Lafflines this weekend.

It's been great to have my family around, but it does require a lot of facilitating. Plus, because my daughter was here, so I had to go on some of the touristy stuff visitor's do. So I saw the 3D African Safari at the IMAX at Canada Place - which made my brother-in-law Neil nausous (sp) and had everybody feeling a little queesy, either from the 3D Land Rover ride, or from the explicit crotch shots of the lions. I called it the 3D Animal Porn, much to my nephews and neices delight. I still can, for the record, make my family laugh. Last night we all went to Bard on the Beach, to see the rarely performed "Measure for Measure". It's one of Shakespeare's"problem plays" because of it's confusing ethics. (It was refreshing to not have everyone dead or married by the end, which is usually the case with Willy) It was very well done, with the lead being played by Scott Bellis, a classmate of mine years ago at Studio 58, who was in my first play "Cook". He has certainly developed into a wonderful actor. The play ran very long, and so, after weeks and years of not being on the lineup at the Urban Well - I missed my spot!! I also missed Squatch's party on Saturday hanging out with my family. Oh well, it's summer and not a big deal.

I had an audition for a Honda commercial this wekk too. Playing a garbage man. Crossing my fingers on that, those things usually pay large.

Did a set at Darby's on Monday. Had to work the sound and the lights, but it was a good crowd. Damonde is hosting for a month, so a lot of pros came out to do the show. K-Foxx and C-man were there, and so, as usual we were off to get ourselves hangovers to start the week. We went over to Balthazar's and then to Checkers. I found out that John B. put together his own website with Flash. I am working with a guy that can do that, but I can't, so I was pretty impressed that he could do it on his own. AL Smith showed her amazing operatic skills on the kareoke mic, and I jumped a cab home, needing to get some rest for my audition the next day.

So now your caught up with me, dear readers, and I will now load some pictures of my week.
