Letter to Pete

This is a face book is sent to my pal Peter Anthony in TO. Don't feel like repeating my self so I'm just reprinted it.
Pete,
round two of chemo this week. four more after this. lost my hair last week. drugs are very strong, with delayed reactions, so can hit you whenever, but genarally hardest hitting the week after. its working though, and thats a good feeling. so far i have had no reactions, and my hearing has been unaffected, which is one of the risks of these chemo's.
so as many people suspected, i can take it. Have been surprised by people's willingness to help, turns out people care about me, more like family than I've ever known. did get my brother to pay for my car insurance - even though he thought it would be better used for something else. Anyway, this chemo stuff really kicks you around, and it also builds up, so im still on the way up. the anti puke drugs have made chemo less of a nightmare for everyone, but the fact that the nurses put on HasMat outfits to administer the chemo, is an indication of what degree of intervention this is! And they've got me on THE most intense protocal of all so, i'm in for it. But i'm doing my best to be positive , and do whats's best for me to get well, like laying around, and not worrying about career and all. I'm glad you asked. I'll be through this in no time, but for now, i can't lie, it's gonna be tough.
