a bit cocky

well i was feeling a bit cocky about the treatments as i seemed to be getting thru no problem, and then i got hit with and infection. my 3 month old surgical wound flaired up saturday night, but i thought it was a pulled muscle or something. So I put some ice on it, and next morning it seemed better. By Sunday afternoon it was getting worse, so I showed my friend k the wound, and her reaction was that if "that's not an infection, than nothing is". So I called up the Cancer Agency and they asked me to come in. The Doctors reaction was stronger than k's - so they did a little army medicc surgerry and drained it (sorry for the unavoidable imagery) and I was given Iv antibiotics and so drug that boosts you white cell count, and makes you feel like you've run a marathon. They also informed me that they would be admitting me for a few days. I wasn't expecting that. So here I am laid up at the Cancer Agency (10th and Ash if you feel like visiting) telling jokes, playing the piano, and constantly have drugs infused into me and having my vitals and blood checked. Everyone here is very nice, but can't wait to get out of here. The "good" news is that they are going ahead with the chemo treatments so i will stay on schedule, and since i'm here - they can keep an eye on me and my infection...
