The Devil Doesn’t Want You Yet by Vitamin Eff

you’ll be back, even stronger
don’t you fuss and fret
you’ll be around to offend us a little longer
‘cause the devil doesn’t want you yet

he’s got bigger sharks to fry
to him you’re still a novice
he’s lubing up waiting for that guy
who currently sits in the Oval office

the good die young so you’ll live to ninety
still never having paid your debt
so just kick back, don’t you worry
‘cause the devil doesn’t want you yet

you still got spunk, you still got pep
you’re still an acerbic fighter
I see you walk with a spring in your step
bouncin’ around one ball lighter

the birds will sing, the sun will rise
and the sun will eventually set
but you’ll still be the glare in our eyes
‘cause the devil doesn’t want you yet

you’re doomed to live I know it’s true
God made a horrible gaffe
and I’m pretty sure the devil doesn’t need you
‘cause Hitler already makes him laugh

you’ll lose some hair and a few pounds
but the gambler in me would bet
that you’re gonna be sticking around
‘cause the devil doesn’t want you yet

it could be worse like a broken heart
at least your still in commission
and I won’t write a word about your anal warts
until your cancer’s in remission

there’s no cryin’ there’s no quittin’
there’s still poems to forget
there’s still junkie escorts to be driven
‘cause the devil doesn’t want you yet

life is poetry, poetry’s life
just buckle up and ride her
and ain’t it poetic that midst all the strife
God doesn’t want you either
