at the union office

Here I am at the UBCP office, in downtown Vancouver.
The show last night went very well, and I worked out a bit for my showcase on Saturday at Yuks. I have this new bit about hamsters. Think I'll call it hamster people. The pre-release of "At Least There's Drinking" went very well. Stephan R. Hopkins, Paul Kay and Azimuth Music are doing a great job compiling the full CD, due for release June1, 2005.
It was great fun to have some guys that I hang out with from the neighbourhood come out to the show last night. I called it Cement Row, which is in fact a curb on the edge of Malone's parking lot in twitsilano, where the sun shines all day, unimpeded by starbucks awnings or those annoying cherry trees. Me, Dave, Duff, Gino, Brook (Ward - of Sports Talk Radio fame) sit and watch the every changing slandscape of braless lululemonish bumfloss riding kits girls. God love'em. And we guys appreciate them. This centuries old passtime (some say as fun back as Egypt, men would sit beside the pyramid, smoke, drink, and watch the women work...) will happen every day the sun is out , until next october. I will be away and will miss Cement Row, just down from Jurassic Park(Rosini's) across from Buckys on Yew. You guys are great I'll miss you, but I'll be back. Unti the Click Click Click.

talking to jennifer brooks

Not to be confused with the professional spanker online, Jennifer Brooks is a long-tiome friend of mine. As a fellow Aries, she understands the battle that must be waged. She is actually multi-faceted, as a leader gaffer (that's lighting in films) she scales great heights like a monkey, writes and publishes short stories and horror screenplays, and has a half-ton. Just Generally a GO TO PERSON. When ever I'm feeling fristrated or depressed, she has the time and the words to help me out. You can see a photo of her in my gallery on my website, as she spoke at my birthday roast. Unwilling to slag/roast me, she spoke about Richard the Good, and it was very nice. Today she called to tell me that she had cufflinks for my new shirt. Thomas Lynch Fashions gives me great clothes to wear, and the new shirt needs cufflinks. She's got some and will get them to me. Also, Mars is in the mix astrologically, and this is good since mars is my (and her) planet. I will never stop needing her counsel.

They picked a Pope

Leave it to the Catholics to pick a German. He's the only one who knows the combination to the Swiss Bank accounts. Benedict 16- isn't that the one with smoked salmon. Yummy! His almost dead himself. Put and egg timer on this one, h'e hardboiled already!

monday at the beach

what a great city i live in! i will miss it a lot, on my tour. i leave wednesday night April27 on the red eye to Toronto and will be gone for a long time. being away from this city and my daughter and my life is tough but there is a universe to be conquered. had a"breakfast of champions" with Darryl Lenox this morning. The screenplay about me and him is called Last Laugh and should be available on my website soon. It was very well recieved at the Alibi UnPLugged series at the Arts Club last year. JR Bourne played me and did a great job. It's strange seeing your life played by a well known and cool film actor. He made me look good.

Tonight I will be rehearsing Harold Pinter's "The Caretaker" with John Taylor, with Jenn Griffen directing. I'm playing Mick and Aston. It's for a group I'm part of called ACTOR'S ANONYMOUS. wondering how it will all turn out...
