last blast






It's all in me now. So they got me loaded for bear now. The next few weeks are about healing (and so nasty needles) and some tests to see how we did.

It is traditional for the chemo nurses to get gifts from the patients on their last day of treatment. Usually it's chocolates or flowers. I decided, since not really a chocolates and flowers kinda guy, and it was a hot friday afternoon, to bring 'em a case of beer. Turned out to be a very big hit, as they all took one home.

Pictured here are Margaret the church lady who stepped in to help through the last couple weeks, Marion (Cricket) chemo driver for the week, (cause she had holidays!? Work hard all year for three weeks off? Why not spend two of it driving cancer boy around?)
