Stellar show at the club this week.

These photos were taken by Jeffrey Yu, whom I was correct in assuming - due to his Asian Persuasion - would be familiar and skilled with a camara. Jeff, or The Slippery Slope, as I like to call him, has fast developed into a popular and skilled professional stand-up comic. Chris Quigley, the HL this week at the club, (who was great himself), told me he thought Yu could be an "Asian Russell Peters", implying great success with his own enthic audience, that Peters has found with the Indo culture. Some people see this as "playing the race card", but the reality of the world, (stand-up included) is that visible ethnic differences do exist, as so will naturally be reflected in comedy. To Jeff's credit, his act is only bookended by his Chineseniss, and the rest of his show highlights his sardonic wit, and some surprising filth. His manner doesn't appear to be of someone willing the talk about chewing on tampons, but he does. Because the truth is Jeffrey YU is NOT CHINESE. He's Canadian.
