Woke up and now I don't feel sleepy. I drove a new girl, Chanel to a call downtown at the Terminal Club. Thought it might be the beginning of a good night, so I put most of what I made into my gas tank. Not sure what's going on with my regular girl Honey. Rockstar (my nickname for Honey) is very busy with school, plus she has had a few extended calls that don't really require a driver. Makes it tough for me, because I have driven her mostly to the exclusion of others. When she works there is no time to drive anyone else, and so these other girls get their own driver's or drive themselves. So when Honey takes time out, I'm left without a job. This means that I don't have the rent. The other thing is Honey pays me so well, that she has spoiled me for other girls that just pay the standard rate (if that). So now, it's the middle of the long weekend, and all I had was the one call tonight. I came home after and slept, anticipating that I would be called to drive late. It still could happen, since a lot of the calls come after the bars close. Seems likely that I will get some calls in awhile, but lately that hasn't been the case.
Got a fifty dollar check from ACTRA for a callback, which means I didn't get the commercial. Have had some good auditions lately, but no results. Something has to give...
