west coast comedy

Just in off the wire
Sorry for the mass email, but today is my All-candidates speech and I'm a little under the gun :-) If you happened to pick up todays 24 Hours Daily paper you'll see that there's a negative letter in it in response to an article 24 did on my running for the NPA. Unfortunately in the world of politics these things happen and always require a response. This is where you my friends can help me out. I would greatly appreciate it if you could write just a 2-3 line email to 24 hours in response to the letter. This would really help me out. In the letter you could mention one of these things; Patrick is passionate about Vancouver and would be a great Councillor because he would tackle the homelessness issue with a fresh approach. He's been there and understands what it means to be "down and out" and would work diligently to solve the problem. He has a great ability to connect with young audiences and would be a bridge for the youth to become interested in civic politics. Reply letter should be sent to: feedback@24hrs.ca If you feel like putting in something else, please feel free, just try to keep it positive:-)

If you're interested in reading the letter, here it is:
Regarding Patrick Maliha running for City Council. Is this some kind of a joke? What does he stand for other than stand-up comedy? We have enough jokers in public office. L. Spencer, via email

Please remember that your email responses need to go out by 2:00 pm this afternoon in order to make the deadline for tomorrow. Thank you so much for all of your help. You guys are awesome!!

Thank you,
Patrick Maliha
